11/3/2001 General Ideas
I developed a 'world' concept a while ago called Civil War 2004, a hypothetical future where the U.S. is turned into a theocracy and a resistance group is organizing through underground internet channels like p2p clients. I did 3 "radio" broadcasts, the first of which I spammed to some friends - some of whom reacted very negatively to it, not listening to the whole thing, assuming it was some anti-american propaganda. My friend Tal was one who actually took to it, participated, but I never produced more material, hoping it would spur a small independent movement - sort of the firt push to form a snowball. I'm sort of afraid to continue seeing our current climate and the depth of 'anti-government' talk in the broadcasts. But I still like the idea and may turn it into a rpg. Speaking of RPG's, I've still been working on SCS and hope to have something ready by the end of December (with or without Dan, Steve, and Bill). I'm really in the mood to game. I'm almost desperate enough to post a note on one of those bulletin boards in the game stores.
