Another Waste of Time
I want to build a robot. Not a Robby the Robot kind of thing but a BattleBot. I have no experience with welding, metal work, electronics, robotics, programming, or design but I still want to do it. I watch them on Comedy Central and I see some bots that are just fantastic, spinning disks and blades that shred their opponents, even when the opponenents are armored with lexon or aluminum. Most of the bots are built around a focal weapon (disk, wedge, arm) with sometimes a secondary weapon. The better built bots prepare to be tipped over by having anti-tipping devices, devices to right themselves, or the ability to work upside down. Two wheeled bots are hard to drive, and driving is a key to winning. My bot would be like an oreo cookie, the center would be a spinning lateral blade, the bottom would be the motors and the top would be where I'd put the disintegration laser.
