Murph, to his pals
I had a tremendous weekend.

I made a horrible miscalculation on the date of Peter Murphy's concert and discovered on Friday that he was playing this weekend. Therese called me at work and asked if I wanted to get tickets. I did, but I also didn't want to be rushing to get to the concert. So we didn't get the tickets and decided to go to Spider-Man instead.

Well, we got to dinner late which would mean missing the final showing of Spidey. We walked by the venue Peter Murphy was playing at, went in the alley and heard one or two songs, which only egged on my urge to see him.

We knew he'd be playing on Saturday and decided to go. Saturday was a busy day, with us going out for breakfast, catching Spider-Man (a great movie, big thumbs up, well done, etc. etc.), grabbing a quick nap, seeing Peter Murphy, and then going out dancing at Neo.

This concert was by far on of the best I've ever been to. His new music is phenomenal and when the crowd wore him out begging for encores he steps out on stage in a boa and sings T.Rex's "Bang a Gong"! The man is amazing. He stayed after signing autographs but we didn't stay for that. My aversion to tedious waiting in lines prevented me, but damn, a part of me wishes I would have stayed.
