TECHNOCRACY PROFILE: Disney |
| Industry: Entertainment Size: $23 billion in 1998 Mission:"Disney's overriding objective is to create shareholder value by continuing to be the world's premier entertainment company from a creative, strategic, and financial standpoint." Area of Influence: Walt Disney Studios, Consumer Products, Buena Vista Internet Group, Fairchild Publications, Disney Televentures, Buena Vista Music Group, Walt Disney Records, Hollywood Records, Lyric Street Records, Mammoth Records, ABC, ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN Classic, ESPNews, Lifetime, E!, The History Channel, A&E, Go Networks, Radio Disney, The Disney Channel, The Disney Store, Disneyland, The Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom, Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disneyland, the Disney Vacation Club, Walt Disney Imagineering, the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, the Anaheim Angels, and Disney Regional Entertainment (Club Disney, DisneyQuest, and ESPNzone). |
| Threat Level: High Disney has begun a most disturbing trend of rewriting history and broadcasting their version to the masses through their massive medio presence. After purchasing ABC, Walt Disney not only got the television network but a significant number of radio stations. That, combined with their interest in the record industry is a deadly combination as it is. Every action Disney takes, each movie, TV series, cartoon, should be scrutinized. Disney is most dangerous and may easily become the propaganda machine for the Technocracy. |
