Editorial Note

The one that stands still is the one that is left behind.

A philosophical truism? Possibly. The actual intent is to explain the fact that Ariadne's Thread is in a constant state of evolution. We are now being lambasted for not having proper 'branding' an internet marketing term meaning long term consistency in graphics, navigation, and style. I agree with these critiques which has spurred AT and The Stygian Labyrinth to begin a complete make-over. We aren't through yet, as there is a lot of fine tuning that needs to be done.

Looking towards the future, we hope to see significant changes and evolution of AT. September saw a decrease in readership which corresponded to lackadaisical marketing efforts. We are hoping to counter act this decrease in October with renewed vigor.

As always, the way we feel we can best 'market' AT is by providing fresh content and trying new things. AT doesn't expect to be your one-stop webzine for darkness, but one of the many stops you make when cruising the web. AT hopes that the experience you have here is good enough to tell your friends.

If you wish to contribute to AT, go to the Submission section and read up on what we are looking for. A word of warning though, we are trying to hold off on the vampire stuff for two reasons, to force ourselves to find darkness in other segments of society and to make sure that when we do put out vampire material, it is top quality and doesn't get lost in the amazing volume of vampire writings on the web.

Enjoy the October issue of Ariadne's Thread!
